You can put any fruit or vegetable, herb, greens or spice in a smoothie. My favorite fruits to use are mangos, bananas and pears because they have a smooth, creamy texture. Adding greens to your smoothie adds a green color but the greens will also make your smoothie super nutritious. If you do not add any sweeteners then your smoothie is 100% natural whole food, and thats better than a Wheaties commercial.
Sometimes we don’t have the time to make a healthy meal and smoothies make it so easy to eat your fruits and vegetables with very little effort. All you need is a good blender, some fresh cut or frozen fruits, a hand full of greens, some water and your on your way to a quick meal or snack.

A note on how to freeze Bananas
To make frozen bananas remove the skin from overripe banana and place the banana in a container and put it in the freezer for at least 12 hours. So anytime you have any overripe bananas do not throw them away. Peel the bananas and put them in the freezer so you can add them to your smoothies
